After a tremendous hard work of two years, I am shocked, excited and experience imposter syndrome, but I have passed my driving exam second time around. As a disabled person, fully wheelchair bound, I am proud of the resilience and ambition that I have kept to get to my dreams of independence. During a crisis in my property, I had the luck of having been offered to move to a permanent council property, which I was only later on told had no parking. In this difficult time of need, I am grateful for my family friends to have allowed me to park in their driveway until a solution is reached. Whilst they live far and I have had to travel using two buses, where ramps are mostly out of order, during the coldest and always rainy UK weather to achieve independence, I will always remember and be indebted to them, Motability and my driving instructor, Eshan Moossun for giving me the opportunity to learn to drive and keep my adapted car. I am thankful to him to have been patient with me, waiting for me when coming late to lessons and having to stop multiple times for changes and repairs to take place and also coming along to the many different locations to teach me to become a confident driver, who makes the occasional small mistake.
